Lean into the curves

A writer's life can be exhilarating.

Writing for a biker magazine is great fun. Yes, I learned how to ride a motorcycle for this gig. I've covered thousands of miles all over the country, met hundreds of people, and learned that leaning into the curves is good advice for life as well as the road.

Here, I'm pictured on my friend's Ducati with my 1946 Royal Quiet Deluxe typewriter, the same model Ernest Hemingway and Ian Fleming used. And I wouldn't dream of parting with that leather biker jacket that's been with me since the early 90s.
